Students have to petition to graduate the semester BEFORE they expect to complete their program.
Failure to submit a petition by the deadline will result in a one semester delay in your degree or certificate being awarded.

Summer (July)

(e.g., Summer 2018 graduates walking in Commencement must petition by December 15, 2017)


April 15
(e.g., Summer 2018 graduates NOT attending Commencement must petition by April 15, 2018)

 

Graduation Dates

The graduation date that is printed on transcripts and diplomas is always the last date of the semester in which the student is graduating.


Academic Year 2017-2018

Fall Term - December 15, 2017
Spring Term - May 5, 2018
Summer Term - July 20, 2018

 

Diplomas

Undergraduate and Masters diplomas are available for pick up at the One Stop Center approximately one month after the traditional semester ends. Diplomas which are not retrieved during the pick up dates will be mailed to your permanent home address as listed in BannerWebIf your address will be different after graduation, please be sure to update your information on BannerWeb before the end of your final semester.

Doctoral diplomas are printed with the assistance of an outside company, therefore delays are possible due to shipping.

Please Note: Diplomas will not be released if you have any past due financial obligations (housing charges, library fees, parking, tuition, etc.)
