This 12-month program trains students in the core radio, television and new media broadcasting skills needed to bring stories to life.
Graduates will possess the knowledge, skills, and competencies to:
- Deliver on-air news, sports, weather and features
- Write news stories for on-air broadcast
- Market and manage company branding via web and social media
- Edit program material using non-linear editing stations
- Operate professional news gathering equipment
- Work with industry-standard software to create audio, video and graphic effects
Learn the fundamentals of quality digital video creation, production, and editing.
Graduates will possess the knowledge, skills and competencies to:
- Transform scripts into video productions
- Create and maintain a website
- Edit program material using non-linear editing stations
- Work with multiple software programs to create still and motion graphics
- Publish video to the web
Find out how to visually communicate brand, concepts and ideas for print and web design.
Graduates will possess the knowledge, skills, and competencies to:

Learn the fundamentals of electronics, music theory, and sound technology. LTU grads have found employment with broadcast networks, multimedia firms, automotive companies, and in the arts and entertainment industry.
This program will train you to move with confidence and agility among all areas of media communication including film/television production, journalism, broadcasting, post-production, and digital marketing. - LTU Professional Development Certificate – worth $10,000 upon admission toward a professional development certificate in Broadcast Media Arts, Graphic Design or Digital Media Arts
- LTU STEM Associate Degree Scholarship – worth $22,320 to help complete an associate degree
- LTU STEM Bachelor’s Degree Scholarship – worth $42,160 toward a bachelor’s degree in selected fields of study
